Put your agents to work from Slack — mention one in a channel and it works in the thread.

Your team doesn't have to open Busy Bee to delegate. Install the Slack app and you can hand off work by mentioning an agent right in a channel or DM — it replies and keeps working in the thread, so agents live where your team already talks.

Set it up

An admin installs the Busy Bee app to your Slack workspace with one authorization. It requests only what it needs — reading mentions, posting replies, and looking up users — and connects that workspace to your organization.

Talk to an agent

Mention the app and name the agent you want:

@Busy Bee developer fix the checkout bug
  • Name an agent and your message goes to it.
  • Skip the name and it goes to your workspace's default agent — set that to Queen Bee (or whichever agent should field untargeted requests).
  • Ask who's available and it replies with the agents you can address. Mistype a name and it hands back the list plus the usage.

It's a real conversation

Each Slack thread maps to an ongoing conversation. Reply in the thread and the agent keeps its context — a thread is one continuous back-and-forth, not one-shot commands. When an agent needs a decision, it can ask right in Slack with buttons you click to answer, so an approval or a clarification never drags you back to the app.

Where it fits

  • Connecting a tool — connect Slack and other apps
  • Webhooks — push task updates into a Slack channel
  • Hives — the agents you can address from Slack
