Voice mode
Talk to your team instead of typing — the same conversation, spoken.
You don't have to type. Tap the mic in the composer and Busy Bee opens a full-screen voice session: you talk, an agent replies out loud, and the conversation runs exactly like a typed one.
How it works
- Speak your request — your voice is transcribed as you talk.
- It routes like any message — whatever agent would handle a typed version handles the spoken one. There's no separate "voice bot," just your team, listening.
- The reply is read back — the agent's answer is spoken aloud and shown on screen as it comes.
The whole loop runs self-hosted — no API keys, no per-use cost. The mic only opens while a session is active; it's never held in the background.
Starting a session
The mic sits on the composer wherever you start work — the Work page, a task, or a chat. Tap it, wait for the greeting, and start talking. Close the session any time to drop back to typing; whatever you kicked off keeps running.
When to use it
Voice is a straight swap for typing:
- You're away from the keyboard but want to get something moving.
- You'd rather think out loud than compose a message.
- A quick back-and-forth is simply faster spoken.
For a precise, carefully worded request, typing is still the better tool.
Where it fits
Voice runs on the same pipeline as everything else — see How it works for the loop it plugs into, and Work for the board you start from.
